It is perfect for storing dry goods such as flour, sugar, or coffee. The jar is 7.5cm in height and 13cm in diameter. It has a capacity of 550ml. It is handmade in Stoke-on-Trent, England, the birthplace of the pottery industry.The jar is made of a type of clay called Etruria marl, which is found in the ground around Stoke-on-Trent. The clay is fired at a high temperature, which gives it its characteristic red color.The jar is unglazed on the interior, which allows it to breathe and prevents the food from absorbing moisture. The exterior is glazed in terracotta, which is a type of clay that is fired at a lower temperature.
